“Let Our Powers Combine” – DMV based model and talent agencies build an alliance to advance the DMV market

A major change is on the horizon for the DMV talent community and its’ surrounding markets! An alliance among the area model, talent and management agencies has formed with the goal of creating and shaping a sustainable industry ecosystem and market. This call to action, led by Tyrone Syranno Wilkens, came about at the perfect time. Wilkens states the elephant in the room – “It’s no secret that the DMV is not taken seriously as a market by not only the bigger markets, but even internally. When you hear about the DMV from industry professionals there is usually some form of disdain if not a slight snicker.” The goal of this proposed alliance would be to cultivate a sense of competitive unity, align resources and opportunities for the talent under these agencies and educate the community and marketplace at large on processes and best practices when working with agencies and their talent.
